Jindal Star GI & MS Pipe — What We Stock

We stock Jindal Star GI and MS pipe — the black and galvanised ERW range made by Jindal Pipes Limited — and supply it for plumbing, fire-fighting, MEP, structural, water supply and infrastructure work across India. The everyday 15NB to 150NB sizes conform to IS:1239 Part-1, made in three wall-thickness classes — Light (Class A), Medium (Class B) and Heavy (Class C). Galvanised (GI) pipe carries a zinc coating for corrosion resistance; MS pipe is the uncoated black equivalent. Large-diameter pipe from 100NB to 600NB conforms to IS:3589 for water and sewage and IS:4270 for water-well casing.

For most water and gas plumbing, Medium (B) is the right call. Step up to Heavy (C) for fire-fighting mains and pressure lines. Light (A) is for low-pressure and light runs where cost matters more than duty.

The Jindal Star brand belongs to Jindal Pipes Limited, a pipe manufacturer established in 1970 and part of the Jindal group, managed by Raghav Jindal. Applications
Common duties for Jindal Star GI and MS pipe.
Plumbing & water supply
GI pipe is the default for potable water risers, distribution and outdoor lines, where the zinc coating resists the corrosion untreated steel would suffer. Light and Medium class cover most building plumbing.
Fire-fighting
Hydrant and sprinkler mains are run in Medium and Heavy class so they hold the test pressures fire codes require. Consistent IS:1239 wall thickness gives the needed pressure margin.
Structural fabrication
MS black pipe is a workhorse for columns, handrails, sheds and general fabrication. It welds and bends predictably; Heavy sections carry real structural load.
Water supply infrastructure
Large-diameter IS:3589 pipe carries water transmission and sewage mains, with wall thickness chosen to match burial depth and pressure across 100NB to 600NB.
Water-well casing
IS:4270 large-size pipe is used for bore-well and water-well casing, where the company's galvanizing up to 500 NB has served high-altitude water-supply projects.
