Why Zoloto Industries is Specified
Zoloto Industries has manufactured industrial valves from Jalandhar, Punjab since 1966 — six decades of continuous production from an integrated foundry-plus-machining facility on the Nakodar Road. The company supplies the full ferrous and non-ferrous valve spectrum under one roof, which is unusual for an Indian manufacturer: bronze and gun-metal, cast iron, ductile iron, cast steel, forged steel and stainless steel — across globe, gate, ball, butterfly, check, sluice, strainer and specialty configurations.
The combination of multi-standard compliance (IS, BS, DIN, ASME, API), triple ISO certification, IBR approval for steam service and ISI marking on the flagship lines means a single Zoloto specification can satisfy public-tender, fire-fighting code, boiler code and high-rise plumbing requirements without changing supplier. Hydrostatic testing is in-house, and Form III-C IBR certificates and ISI batch test certificates ship with the consignment.

Technical FAQs — Zoloto Valves
Is Vijay Sales Corporation an authorised dealer of Zoloto?
Vijay Sales Corporation does not currently hold a signed authorised-dealer certificate from Zoloto Industries. We stock and supply the full Zoloto range from our Delhi warehouse — every dispatch ships with the manufacturer's original Test Certificate, GST-compliant invoice and standard packaging. Our framing throughout the site is therefore "stocked & supplied by Vijay Sales Corporation" rather than "authorised dealer".
Which Zoloto valves are IBR-marked and what does that cover?
IBR (Indian Boiler Regulations) marking applies to Zoloto's bronze IBR steam range — Articles 1041–1046 (globe steam stop, screwed and flanged BS 10 Table H), 1055 (thermodynamic steam trap) and applicable steam-service models. IBR marking certifies the valve meets pressure-temperature requirements for boiler connections under the Indian Boiler Act. Form III-C certificates from the Director of Boilers, Punjab are available on request from Vijay Sales Corporation for any IBR-marked Zoloto valve supplied.
Which Zoloto valves are ISI-marked?
Zoloto Industries holds ISI marking under four standards: IS:13095 for butterfly valves (1078 series — lever, gear, PN1.6 and PN2.5 variants), IS:14846 for cast-iron sluice valves (1079 series, PN1.0 and PN1.6), IS:5312 for cast-iron non-return valves (1083 series, flanged), and IS:5290 for fire-fighting landing valves (1093 series, bronze and SS-304). Every ISI-marked valve we dispatch carries the manufacturer's original test certificate against the specific batch.
What's the difference between Zoloto's PN 1.0, PN 1.6 and PN 2.5 sluice and butterfly valves?
PN ratings denote maximum working pressure in MPa. PN 1.0 = 1.0 MPa (10 kg/cm²), suited to gravity-fed water supply, low-pressure HVAC and irrigation. PN 1.6 = 1.6 MPa (16 kg/cm²), the standard for municipal water, building services and most fire-fighting headers. PN 2.5 = 2.5 MPa (25 kg/cm²), specified for booster pumps, high-rise risers and hydrant mains where shut-off pressure exceeds 16 bar. Higher PN means thicker body walls and proportionally higher cost.
When should I specify CF8 (SS-304) vs CF8M (SS-316) Zoloto ball valves?
CF8 (cast SS-304 per ASTM A 351) is the default for chilled water, treated water and most non-corrosive service. CF8M (cast SS-316, the molybdenum-bearing grade) is specified where the line contains chlorides, brackish or sea-water, or acidic service — the moly addition improves pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. For most building services and HVAC, CF8 is sufficient. Chemical, pharma and coastal installations should specify CF8M (Articles 1080A / 1081A / 1086 in the SS range).
What's the maximum working temperature for bronze IBR vs cast steel vs forged steel vs SS Zoloto valves?
Per Zoloto Industries' published Special Notes in the 26.05.2026 MRP: Bronze IBR = 225°C, Cast Iron = 220°C, Cast Steel = 400°C, Forged Steel = 425°C, Stainless Steel = 450°C. These are maximum continuous working temperatures the manufacturer rates the bodies for. Always cross-check against media compatibility, gasket / seat material limits, and applicable boiler code for your installation.
What's the warranty on Zoloto bronze waterline vs ferrous and steam valves?
Per Zoloto Industries' Special Note 2a, bronze and forged-brass non-ferrous valves used in waterline service carry a LIFETIME warranty. Per Special Note 2b, ferrous valves (CI, DI, CS, FS, SS) in any application, and non-ferrous valves in steam service, carry an 18-month warranty from invoice date OR 12 months from installation, whichever ends earlier. Warranty claims are routed through Vijay Sales Corporation with manufacturer concurrence.
Can Vijay Sales Corporation supply Zoloto valves with NPT threads or other custom thread standards?
Standard threaded Zoloto valves carry IS:554 / BS 21 / ISO 7 (BSP parallel or taper) ends. NPT (ANSI/ASME B1.20.1) threading is available on indent against MOQ — please WhatsApp the required article number, size and quantity. Lead times for thread variants typically run 4–6 weeks beyond stock dispatch from our Delhi warehouse.
Which Zoloto articles have been discontinued in the 26.05.2026 MRP?
Per Zoloto Industries' Special Note 15 in the 26.05.2026 MRP, certain legacy articles have been withdrawn. We can confirm current availability for any specific article number on WhatsApp +91-9999889008 in real time. Discontinued items are usually superseded by upgraded equivalents — Vijay Sales Corporation will recommend the replacement article during quoting so the BOQ is dispatch-ready.
What's the difference between Zoloto Class-800 forged steel "standard bore" and "full bore"?
Class-800 forged steel valves (Articles 1074–1076A) are offered in two bore configurations. Standard (regular) bore has a reduced internal diameter and is used where flow capacity is not critical — lighter and cheaper. Full bore matches the nominal pipe ID and is required where pigging, swabbing or minimum pressure drop is essential. Full-bore versions are heavier and more expensive. Specify the variant on indent.
Can Vijay Sales Corporation supply Zoloto butterfly valves with pneumatic, electric or gear actuators?
Yes. Lever-operated up to 150mm and gear-operated from 200mm upward are the standard catalogue configurations. Pneumatic actuators (single-acting or double-acting) and electric actuators (24V DC or 230V AC, with positioner option for modulating service) are available against indent — typical lead time 4–6 weeks. WhatsApp the article number, size, on/off vs modulating duty, and actuator power supply for a quote.
For Zoloto sluice valves above 300mm, is the PN1.6 rating maintained?
No. Per Zoloto Industries' Special Note for Article 1079B (CI Sluice Valve IS:14846), sizes 350mm and above are supplied as Non-ISI rating PN 1.0 only. The PN 1.6 ISI marking applies up to 300mm. For larger sizes (350mm–600mm) requiring PN 1.6 service, Zoloto's ductile iron sluice valve range (1079A series) should be specified instead.
