The 20 Feet Steel Pipe Weight Chart

A steel pipe weight chart is an essential tool for anyone who works with pipes. It helps you determine the correct weight for each size of pipe. This chart will help you determine the correct weight of pipe for any given diameter.

Our Team at Vijay Sales Corporation is often contacted by our clients to give them an estimated weight of the pipes ordered by them. This estimate is often useful in determining what the actual transportation cost of the material shall be till the site where the material is required. Besides transportation cost, the weight estimate also helps in planning for how much space will be required once an order is placed.

The first thing you need to know about this chart is that it's based on the Bureau of Indian Standards and the relevant IS code is IS 1239 (Part 1) & IS:3589 for Steel Tubes, Tubular. IS:1239 (Part 1) & IS:3589 allow for a tolerance of upto -10% on the mentioned chart weights for Medium & Heavy Duty Pipes and a tolerance of upto- 8% on Light Duty Pipes.
