Exceed cast steel globe valves are built to BS 1873 and ASME B16.34, flanged to ASME B16.5, face-to-face to ASME B16.10 and tested to API 598. Body and bonnet are ASTM A216 Gr. WCB; stem, plug and backseat are ASTM A276 Type 410; the seat is ASTM A53 with an SS410 (13% Cr) overlay; gland packing is graphite rings and the gasket is spiral wound SS304 with carbon filler, with handwheel and yoke in ASTM A536. Class 150 works at 19.6 bar and Class 300 at 51.1 bar, both at 38°C, to a maximum of 425°C.

Exceed cast steel Y strainers are flanged to ASME B16.5 and tested to API 598. The body is ASTM A216 Gr. WCB and the cover ASTM A36 / A216 WCB, with a spiral wound SS304 gasket with carbon filler. The screen is SS304 double layer — a perforated base with an SS304 40-micron (325 mesh) inner lining. In Class 150 the working pressure is 19.6 bar with a shell test of 29.4 bar, to a maximum of 425°C.

WCB, the plate ASTM A36, stem and plug ASTM A276 Type 410, the seat ASTM A53 with an SS410 (13% Cr) overlay and the spring ASTM A229, with a graphite ring gland packing. Face-to-face dimensions
Face-to-face is the length of a valve measured from one flange face to the other. It is the gap the valve occupies in the pipeline, so it is the figure needed to set flange positions on a new line and to check that a replacement valve will fit an existing one.
