Getting Fire Fighting Work Done? Price the Materials Yourself.
Building a restaurant, shop, office or small building — and the fire fighting quote feels like a black box? This page shows you every component a fire fighting system actually uses, with live net rates. Tick what's on your contractor's list, enter the quantities, and in minutes you have your own independent estimate — no consultant needed. Download it as a PDF, or send it to us and we supply the material.
What a fire fighting system is actually made of
Every fire fighting installation — whether it is a restaurant, a shop floor, an office or a full building — is built from the same eight kinds of material. If a contractor has given you a list, every line on it belongs to one of the categories below. Read the checklist once and the quotation stops being a black box: you will know what each item is for, and the builder underneath shows you what each one costs today.

Build your quotation
Open the sections you need and enter a quantity against each size. Rates apply as you type — the discount on each section is the discount that section's price list carries, which is why the numbers are not all off the same percentage. Use + to add another size of the same item.

Where this material comes from
Four brands, three different commercial relationships. We state each one exactly as it stands.
UL and FM marks above are the manufacturers' product approvals as printed in their catalogues. They apply to the Sant DI threaded range, the Sant DI grooved range, and the NewAge unbraided flexible sprinkler drop hoses, which are UL Listed. They are not claimed for any other item on this page — in particular, no UL or FM claim attaches to the pipe, the valves, the forged, butt welded or flange items, or the NewAge sprinklers.
Fire fighting quotation — questions we get asked
A contractor gave me a material list — how do I check what it should cost?
Find each line of the list in the sections above — every fire fighting material belongs to one of the eight categories, and the checklist at the top of this page tells you which. Tick the same items, enter the same quantities, and the builder gives you today's net material rates with GST, as a line-by-line PDF. Your contractor's quotation will rightly be higher than the bare material figure — installation, labour, wastage and margin are real costs — but now you know exactly what the material portion is, and you can negotiate the rest from knowledge.
I'm building a restaurant, shop or small building — how do I make a budget estimate?
Ask your fire contractor or licensing consultant for the material list their design needs — the design itself (how many hydrants, sprinkler spacing, pipe sizes) depends on your building and is decided by them and the approving authority. Once you have the list, price it here in minutes. If you don't have a list yet, send us your building's basic details on WhatsApp and we will help you understand what a typical installation of your size uses, so you can budget before the drawings exist.
Which class of pipe should a fire fighting line use?
Heavy (Class C) to IS:1239 Part-1 for hydrant and sprinkler mains. The class sets wall thickness at a fixed outside diameter, and a fire main is a permanently pressurised line that has to hold its test pressure for the life of the building — Heavy is the wall thickness that gives you that margin. Medium (Class B) is specified on some sprinkler branch work; when a drawing is silent on a pressure line, step up a class rather than down. This tool quotes the Heavy (C Class) column only.
What is a Table 'E' flange, and why do Indian fire drawings ask for it?
Table 'E' is an Indian flange drilling standard — it fixes the outside diameter, bolt circle, number of bolts and hole size for each nominal bore. Because hydrant valves, breeching inlets, butterfly valves and pump connections in India are almost all drilled to it, specifying Table 'E' is what makes the flanges on two different trades' material actually bolt together on site. Where our master lists two plate thicknesses at one size, this tool offers both separately rather than picking one for you.
Grooved or threaded — which joint should I use on a fire main?
Threaded forged fittings are the economical choice below 2": sprinkler drops, gauge points, drain and test connections. From 2" upward, grooved is usually faster and cheaper installed — the joint bolts up cold, so there is no hot-work permit, no welder on a live floor and no re-painting, and it can be broken later for servicing. Grooved couplings also take a small amount of angular movement, which is why they are used on seismic and expansion runs. Butt welded fittings remain the choice where you want a permanent, full-bore turn on a large welded main.
Do you deliver outside Delhi?
Yes. Vijay Sales Corporation supplies pan-India from the Delhi warehouse. Rates in this tool are Ex-Delhi warehouse, so freight and cartage are extra as per actual — send us the delivery city with your quotation and we will add a firm freight figure. For project quantities we can also quote door-delivered.
Is GST included in the figure this tool gives me?
GST at 18% is calculated and shown separately, and it is included in the Grand Total line. The sub-total is the net material value Ex-Delhi warehouse; freight and cartage are not in either figure. Our GSTIN is 07AAGPG5324D1Z6 and it prints on the quotation PDF.
How do I know these rates are current?
Each of the eight sections shows the price list it is quoting from and that list's effective date on its own heading, because they are eight different lists that revise on different dates. The rates here are generated from the same source files that render our published price list pages, so the tool cannot drift from the price list. The quotation is self-generated and budgetary — valid 3 days, and goods are billed at the price ruling on the date of despatch.
Rather have us price the whole BOQ?
Send the drawing, the spreadsheet or a photo of the BOQ. A priced quotation comes back the same working day in nearly every case — including the NewAge lines this tool cannot price, and a firm freight figure for your delivery city.
The price lists behind this tool
Every rate here is generated from the same source that renders these pages, so the two can never disagree.
